New LED lamp timer for maximum operating time of rechargeable batteries

Modico-Systems has developed a new LED timer for the operation of LED reading lamps, especially in connection with battery-fed systems.

The timer will be integrated between lamp and rechargeable battery and takes care that the battery will not be discharged completely if the appliance (lamp) is in use permanently. The ON/OFF switch at the appliance may be used in the manner customary. The maximum turn-on time may be freely set. As an additional protection the timer prevents a turning-on of the appliance if the battery charge is below a critical capacity. The installation consumption of the circuit is within the lower µA range. Due to its small size of 45.0 x 45.0 x 22.7 mm the timer fits into any mechanical device without any problems.
